Vacation Time!

A time for rest ...

Dear Readers,

I have not stepped away from the computer in over two years ... it's time for a vacation!

A little time away from computers, phones and the daily news and most certainly, a time for refreshing.

This blog will not be posting until I return on August 1st.

Video: Krauthammer: Israelis will attack Iran if they think Obama will win re-election

Published: 12:08 PM 07/08/2012
On Friday’s “Special Report,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer warned that Americans should expect Israel to attack Iran if President Barack Obama’s re-election appears likely.
Krauthammer explained that there could be a punitive response from the Obama administration, which would be less likely before he is re-elected.
“If they think Obama will win reelection I think it’s likely they will attack before, because afterwards there is no way to tell how Obama would punish Israel and they would be vulnerable to sanctions and other measure of the United States,” he said.
Krauthammer reminded viewers of the time frame advanced by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta earlier this year, and explained how that is a sign that “the clock is running.”
“The window is between now — remember, the Secretary of Defense said earlier in year that Israel would have attacked by now, attack in April, May, June,” he continued.
“The clock is running. They are simply waiting to make sure that the sham negotiations are declared over, rather than put on life support — to say all options have been tried and now we have to defend ourselves.”

The Divine Suha and Arafat’s iconic underwear

The divine Suha at the Dubai Film Festival in 2011
The divine Suha (2nd from l) at the Dubai Film Festival in 2011
As you may know, Suha Arafat, the widow of the Original Terrorist, went to al-Jazeera with a few pieces of Arafat’s clothing and claimed that she had kept them in a ‘secure room’ since his death in 2004.  After a ‘nine-month investigation’, al-Jazeera breathlessly reported that
…tests reveal that Arafat’s final personal belongings – his clothes, his toothbrush, even his iconic kaffiyeh – contained abnormal levels of polonium, a rare, highly radioactive element. Those personal effects, which were analyzed at the Institut de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland, were variously stained with Arafat’s blood, sweat, saliva and urine. The tests carried out on those samples suggested that there was a high level of polonium inside his body when he died.
“I can confirm to you that we measured an unexplained, elevated amount of unsupported polonium-210 in the belongings of Mr. Arafat that contained stains of biological fluids,” said Dr. Francois Bochud, the director of the institute.
The findings have led Suha Arafat, his widow, to ask the Palestinian Authority to exhume her late husband’s body from its grave in Ramallah. If tests show that Arafat’s bones contain high levels of polonium, it would be more conclusive proof that he was poisoned, doctors say.

Well. A sensation! The diabolical Zionists poisoned him after all!

The only problem is that Suha apparently majored in French haute couture, not physics. And the staff of al-Jazeera like a good story more than a reasonable one.
The half-life of Polonium-210 is 138 days. This means that after 8 years, only about 4.3 x 10-7 — 0.00000043 — of the original amount of Polonium would be left. So even if Arafat’s iconic underwear had been loaded with the stuff after his death, it would be undetectable, or at least at much lower levels than the Swiss laboratory found.

As Johnny Cochran would have pointed out, there is a problem with the chain of custody of the evidence.

What is more interesting is the half-life of the money that Suha extracted from the Palestinian Authority (PA), which of course is supported by the US and the European Union.
When Arafat died in November 2004, hundreds of millions, perhaps billions, of dollars in his secret accounts went missing. Suha refused to release Arafat’s body for a week, until the PA agreed to pay her an adequate pension (estimates range from $12,000 to $100,000 monthly).
It’s doubtful that she needed it. Earlier that year, French prosecutors investigated $11.4 million of mysterious payments into her accounts:
The inquiry, disclosed by a satirical French weekly, Le Canard Enchaîné, and confirmed by unidentified judicial officials to The Associated Press, was opened in October after the Bank of France notified the Paris prosecutor’s office that Mrs. Arafat’s accounts at two banks in France had received relatively regular transfers of nearly $1.27 million each from Switzerland between July 2002 and September 2003. The newspaper also reported that about $2.5 million of the money had been diverted to an account of an interior decorating firm, Alberto Pinto.

The PA today is undergoing what it calls its “worst financial crisis” in three years, being unable to pay its employees. Most of these employees are part of its ‘security’ forces, who from time to time murder Israelis. Many of them are in Hamas-controlled Gaza, where they are either doing nothing or working for Hamas. Some are in Israeli prisons, having been convicted of crimes including multiple murder (they get paid anyway). And then there are the pensions paid to the widows of ‘martyrs’, suicide and otherwise.

Maybe Suha will make a donation?

Bee's Note:
Hmm!  I always wondered what happened to Suha after Arafat's death.  I have only one question: Why isn't Suha wearing a Burka?
I hear Dubai (an emirate within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is more "liberal" than other Islamic countries, but that is mainly because oil-rich Dubai "has emerged as a global city and a business hub.[7] Although Dubai's economy was built on the oil industry, the emirate's model of business drives its economy, with the effect that its main revenues are now from tourism, real estate, and financial services, similar to that of Western countries."
And, my second question is: Why did the Arab world and the PLO/Palestinian Authority allow Suha to keep the stolen money that Arafat had withheld from its people?

Clinton: Straight from the horses mouth ...

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Saturday that Afghanistan has been officially designated a “major non-NATO ally."

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday that Afghanistan has been officially designated a “major non-NATO ally,” a status that allows for streamlined defense cooperation, including expedited purchasing ability of American equipment and easier export control regulations.
“We see this as a powerful symbol of our commitment to Afghanistan’s future,” Clinton said at a news conference with Afghan President Hamid Karzai during a brief stop in the Afghan capital on her way to Tokyo for a 70-nation conference on civilian aid to Afghanistan. “This is the kind of relationship we think will be especially beneficial as we do the transition and as we plan for the post-2014 presence.”
The designation, which was first announced in May, is now being fully implemented.
Other countries in the category include Israel, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea.
It is one more way that the Obama administration is seeking to reassure Karzai that the United States will not abandon Afghanistan after American and NATO troops withrdwarl from the country.
A U.S. diplomatic official said Saturday that donor nations have pledged $16 billion in development aid to the country over the next four years, despite concerns over the country’s rampant corruption.
Clinton said the U.S. has been working closely with Afghan authorities to eliminate fraud, mismanagement and abuse. She said the meeting in Tokyo would include accountability measures to ensure that money sent to Afghanistan benefits the Afghan people.
"This is an issue the government and the people of Afghanistan want action on, and we want to ensure they are successful," Clinton said.
U.S. officials have yet to negotiate the exact number of troops that will remain in Afghanistan after combat operations are expected to conclude in 2014.
During the news conference, Clinton repeated the tenets of America's "fight, talk, build" strategy for Afghanistan: defeat extremists, and win over Taliban militants terrorists and others willing to renounce violence and help in the long reconstruction of Afghanistan, theAssociated Press reported.
"This is the kind of relationship that we think will be especially beneficial as we plan for the transition," Clinton stated. "It will help the Afghan military expand its capacity and have a broader relationship with the United States."

Bee's note:

Obama administration to ask Congress to sustain civilian Afghan aid through 2017 ... Scoop.it!

Is "asking" Congress merely a formality?!  Or, has this administration once again by-passed Congress to aid Afghanistan?
Oh, and I just love the comment about "helping the Afghan military expand" ... that's a pip! Is this the same military that was shooting our troops in the back of the head a few months ago?
"Fight, talk, build" ... nifty little propaganda phrase used to describe arming and aiding a country that hates the USA/West and all non-Muslims; with a leadership so corrupt it is taking 70 nations to decide how best to handle the "aid" in order for it to actually reach the citizens of Afghanistan!  Good luck with that one ... just like aiding the Gaza Palestinians hasn't stopped rockets from being shot into Israel.
Oh, and speaking of Israel, did you note in the article how Israel's name popped up in the same breath as Pakistan, etc.?  As if aiding Afghanistan is the same as aiding the only democracy among 57 Islamic countries is in the same boat?  And, anyone with a tiny bit of knowledge knows that Israeli aid comes back to the U.S. three-fold in contracts and technology, etc.  ... Name one Islamic country that is held to the same type of agreements/contracts that are made between Israel and the U.S.  Israel is an ally of the USA; comparing Israel with Afghanistan/Pakistan is like comparing apples and oranges.
Congress needs to think hard and fast before agreeing to Hillary's request for long-term aid to Afghanistan.  The American people are fed up with politicians that continue using failed foreign policies that are not in the best interest of the United States.  We are fed up with "fast talkers" who want to "build up" nations that continue to be led by Islamic Sharia laws and are unable to live in this civilized world. Remember, 99% of all terrorist organizations and countries at war are Islamic.
America needs to vote out every last politician that hugs and supports America's enemies, as it leaks information/betrayals to the MSM that harm our true allies and our own nation.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does

I have to post this because it is so true. Liberals believe anyone who is not a Liberal or Commie or something like that, is a moron. Mind you, they have Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson (of Guam will sink fame)…need I go on?
The following can’t be better said than Jeff Dunetz says it. Click the link for the entire story.
via Yid with Lid
This week was worse than usual [referencing how stupid Liberals think we are], allow me to give you a few examples.
  • The Obama Bus Tour…the President is driving through the heartland charging that Mitt Romney shipped jobs overseas.  The presidential bus was made in Canada.
  • The June Jobs Report...was so lousy that even the biased Associated Press said it was bad. But our president said it was “a step in the right direction.” Sorry Mr. President but that’s only a step in the right direction if you are trying to step in dog crap.
  • If I had a dollar for every time… well maybe $1,000 dollars for every time. Yesterday our narcissist-in-chief made a speech in Ohio. He used the word I or Me 117 times in a 25  and a half minute speech–that’s one every 13.07 seconds. And he expects us to believe he gives a rats arse about any one of us?
  • I am not a crook… David Alexelrod used a discredited Vanity Fair article to say Mitt Romney is hiding the true story of his finances and compares him to Richard Nixon. Of course this only served to remind us that HIS candidate is hiding his college and law school records, stopping the LA Times from releasing the video tape of his toast praising PLO spokesman and Obama friend Rashid Khalidi, and in a very Nixonian move, used executive privilege to stop one of his cabinet members from turning over documents subpoenaed by Congress.
  • It’s all Fox’s Fault.  Presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett was interviewed this week and claimed that it wasn’t the president’s rhetoric that was causing people to believe Obama was creating an environment of class warfare…it was all Fox News’ fault.
  • Do as I say… Have you ever noticed when someone talks about a cold winter being a reason to doubt global warming…the hoaxers jump all over them saying “you don’t know the difference between climate and weather?” Now those same hoaxers are looking at a summer heat wave and claiming it’s because of global warming…
  • Do as I say II….Obama and the Mainstream Media have attacked Romney for his supposed flip-flops on the Mandate vs Tax issue but it was Obama who called it a mandate, was silent when his Solicitor General argued before the SCOTUS that it was a tax, and claimed it wasn’t a tax as soon as the Roberts made his decision.

Dealing with Islamic groups new normal

KUFFAR NEWS

We should not engage the Brotherhood on any level.  With any luck their "Renaissance Project" will quickly fall apart, exposing the mythology of their Islamist doctrine in short order.

Once the economic situation deteriorates to a certain point, Egyptians will evict the Brotherhood. Morsi is already screwing up the books and throwing around money that doesn't exist (just like Obummer).

(Detriot Free Press) - The victories of Islamic parties in Egypt and elsewhere have forced the U.S. to embark on an untested strategy to engage with groups that have historically been hostile to American interests, analysts said.

"From a U.S. perspective, we have no choice but to deal with the Muslim Brotherhood," said Shadi Hamid, an analyst at the Brookings Doha Center. "I don't see what the alternative is."

In the latest triumph for Islamic groups, Mohammed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was elected president in Egypt last month. Islamist groups have also emerged strong in Tunisia, where the government is led by the Islamic party Ennahda, and Libya.

Although the U.S. has had good relations with regimes where political Islam is prevalent, such as Saudi Arabia, its policy toward Islamic groups that are ousting long-standing regimes or pressuring them to change is evolving.

"There's been a sea change in U.S. policy toward the Brotherhood," said James Phillips, an analyst at the Heritage Foundation.

Analysts are divided over whether the Obama administration's policy is a risk that will backfire or represents a pragmatic approach to rapidly changing events in the Arab world. Much depends on how the Muslim Brotherhood is viewed: whether it is a pragmatic organization whose leaders will compromise once in power or a group of extremists who are modifying their rhetoric to disguise their true intentions, analysts said.

The Bush administration viewed it as a "hostile ideological force," Phillips said. The Obama administration believes it can work with the Brotherhood as a political force, he said.

"It certainly has become more accepting of the Brotherhood," said Daniel Serwer, a professor at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a scholar at the Middle East Institute.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a movement that supports political Islam and opposes Western ideals of governance, spawning Islamic movements that range from the moderate in Jordan to violent jihadists such as Hamas in Gaza. Brotherhood members are forming political parties to vie for power as Arab Spring uprisings oust longtime rulers and pressure others to open up democratically.

The administration may feel it has little choice but to deal with elected Brotherhood leaders in Egypt, a country that had been a Middle East ally for years under dictator Hosni Mubarak, analysts said.

White House spokesman Jay Carney has said the Obama administration has "broadened our engagement" with emerging parties in Egypt.

Administration officials have met with Muslim Brotherhood leaders, and Carney said the White House will judge such leaders on how they act. Some question what engagement will bring, especially on matters of importance such as Israel's security and Muslim terrorism.

The Muslim Brotherhood's leadership has said it supports Egypt's international treaties -- the peace treaty with Israel being one -- but some Brotherhood leaders have suggested the treaty should be reviewed.

"They're hostile in the long run to peaceful coexistence with Israel," Phillips said.

It is not clear that a Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt would cooperate with the U.S. on terrorism. Hamas, which the U.S. and Europe consider a terrorist organization, is an offshoot of the Brotherhood and continues to allow the firing of missiles into Israel.

"It's not going to be business as usual," Hamid said. "They're not going to go along with U.S. objectives and interests as Mubarak did."

The Brotherhood's political agenda has not been made clear. Its platform during the campaign for the parliament and the presidency consisted of calls to elevate Islamic traditions, end corruption and repression and boost the standing of Egypt's impoverished millions.

Hey Congress, Please do not agree to Hillary's Request!

Apostates & Infidels

Stop the Islamic Conquest

Bee's Note:  Before Congress agrees to Hillary's latest request to aid Afghanistan for years to come, please begin to educate yourselves on the purpose of Islam.  Remember the mistake of arming the Mujahedeen (Taliban) against the Russians.  Now, our State Department wishes to once again arm the Taliban against themselves (today) and against the U.S. tomorrow.  Doesn't this sound a little silly and when will we ever learn from our mistakes in not recognizing our enemies.

Some may say aiding Afghanistan is NOT aiding the Taliban.  Really?  The Afghanistan leaders are some of the most crooked, un-trustworthy, lying, two-faced idiots in the world.  Does the U.S. honestly think that by aiding Afghanistan once our troops leave will have a "peaceful" effect on the Afghanistan people?  The people will not see a dime of this aid, but it certainly will assist the leaders in their top export of Heroin, grown from their fields of poppies and the drug world will be forever grateful.  Drugs and terrorist organizations are the two leading goods and services from Afghanistan.

Afghanistan rules by its Islamic Sharia laws and the Taliban remain in Afghanistan, committing crimes against humanity through their so-called "courts".  Isn't this a picture of Afghanistan when we first entered the country ten years ago?  What has changed for the Afghanistan citizens?!
"But fears are rising among Afghan women, some lawmakers and rights activists that such freedoms could be traded away as the Afghan government and the United States pursue talks with the Taliban to secure a peaceful end to the war.
Violence against women has increased sharply in the past year, according to Afghanistan's independent human rights commission. Activists say there is waning interest in women's rights on the part of President Hamid Karzai's government.  "After 10 years (of foreign intervention), and only a few kilometres from Kabul... how could this happen in front of all these people?" female lawmaker Fawzia Koofi said of the public execution in Parwan.  "This is happening under a government that claims to have made so much progress in women's rights, claims to have changed women's lives, and this is unacceptable. It is a huge step backwards," said Koofi, a campaigner for girls' education who wants to run in the 2014 presidential election." .. Some Afghans still refer to Taliban courts for settling disputes, viewing government bodies as corrupt or unreliable. The courts use sharia (Islamic law), which prescribes punishment."

It is a pipe dream and unrealistic for this administration to even hint that talks with the Taliban will secure "peace" in this world, just as it is a total fantasy to think any of the 57 Islamic countries will obtain peace for its own citizens.  Open your eyes, Congress and put an end to aiding and abetting America's enemies.  The State Department can wave its magic wand and call our enemies "allies", as in the case of Hillary stating Afghanistan is America's newest ally, but that is beyond foolish thinking.  The USA needs to begin choosing its friends more carefully.
Let's go to Kuffar News for its latest report:

Obama administration to ask Congress to sustain civilian Afghan aid through 2017

We haven't the money to sustain our own civilian population, especially with the added burden of ObummerCare. We certainly do not have billions to support a society that hates us.

We need to get the troops out of Afghanistan. And we need to stop spending money on infrastructure that will belong to lunatic Muslims the minute we leave.
Infrastructure is not the problem in Afghanistan anyway. The problem is ideology.  That must be broken down before their society can be safely built up.

(AP) - The Obama administration will ask Congress to sustain U.S. assistance for Afghanistan near the average amount it has been over the last decade through 2017 as part of the international effort to stabilize the country even as most international forces pull out over the next two years.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton made the pledge Sunday as some 70 countries gathered in Tokyo to announce a four-year civilian assistance plan. Altogether they are promising to give $16 billion to Afghanistan through 2015.

The U.S. funds will help Afghanistan build its economy and make necessary reforms, Clinton said.

“We have to make the security gains and the transition irreversible,” Clinton told officials, including Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
She said Afghan security “cannot only be measured by the absence of war.”
“It has to be measured by whether people have jobs and economic opportunity; whether they believe the government is meeting their needs.”
Clinton said Afghanistan has made substantial progress over the last decade, but needs effective collaboration between its government, private sector, neighbors and international donors “so that this decade of transformation can produce results.”

Annual U.S. civilian assistance since 2001 has ranged from $1 billion to this year’s high of $2.3 billion. Clinton said the aid request to Congress through 2017 would be to maintain funding at or near the average level, without specifying further.
