Labor Day Weekend - Vacation

Sept. 1 through Sept. 3, 2012

Labor Day weekend is fast approaching and according to reports, thousands of Americans will be on the roads - many traveling less than 100 miles to their destination for a three day weekend.

Our family has made plans to begin this holiday early - beginning tomorrow through Saturday, Sept. 2nd.
My suitcase is packed and I'm ready for a beautiful week at a lovely campsite: we'll be fishing and swimming, and sitting by the camp fires each evening.

There will be no phones or computers and that means I'll have to wean myself off of the daily news for one week!

News does have it that there is a Hurricane Issac approaching Florida, which may interrupt the Republican National Convention beginning next Monday at 1:00 PM.  There is a television in our cabin, so I do not plan on missing Mrs. Romney's opening speech on Monday evening.  I hear the main stream media plans on cutting away to their usual Monday night broadcasts ... how childish of them and the liberals!

I wish everyone a good weekend and a great week.  See you when I come back tanned and rested!

Countdowns in Tehran and Jerusalem - by Sultan Knish

Countdowns in Tehran and Jerusalem

If Israel jets show up in Iranian airspace, it will most likely happen while Obama is too busy  accusing Mitt Romney of secretly storing all his money in a giant cave in the Rocky Mountains to do more than dispatch a flunky to chew out Netanyahu over the phone. The election is the perfect window for a strike on Iran's nuclear program, because Team Obama will be too tied down on the Romney Front to do much damage to Israel.

Despite the signs being brandished at your local Anarchists for Peace rally, accusing the United States of being a puppet of the Zionist regime, the United States and Israel have different interests. Israel is interested in not getting bombed and the United States is interested in regional stability. And regional stability means keeping the Sunni Arab oil countries happy.

The United States is interested in somehow making Iran's nuclear capabilities go away in the interests of regional stability. Particularly the regional stability of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. But the last thing that this form of regional stability needs is Israeli planes flying over Saudi Arabia to take out that nuclear capability.

Just like during the Gulf War, regional stability demands that the United States protect Saudi Arabia and the Gulfies, while keeping Israel out of it. Since Iran's Revolutionary Guard isn't camped out in Kuwait City, protecting them is a matter of posture. That posture is there as a deterrent, a warning that Iran had better not interfere with our oil suppliers or there will be hellfire missiles to pay.

The posturing is hollow because everyone knows that Obama is not about to bomb Iran on behalf of Saudi Arabia and its colony in Bahrain. He is as likely to do it for Israel as he is to move to South Carolina and join the NRA. But he isn't alone in that regard. Despite the fevered fantasies of everyone from Noam Chomsky to Ron Paul, no American president would ever bomb Iran for Israel. If a third Gulf War is fought, it will be fought for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, one more time.

The last time the United States fought Iran, in 1988, it was to protect Kuwaiti oil tankers. If Iran interferes with oil tankers from our friendly Gulfie terrorist states, then a future administration is likely to bomb Iran. If oil prices go high enough to potentially cost Obama the election, then he might pry away his foreign policy people from drawing up maps of Syrian targets and actually hit some Iranian naval installations.

None of this has anything to do with Iran's nuclear program... and that's the point. George W. Bush did appear to think that Iranian nuclear weapons might be bad news for the United States, not just for the balance of power in the region. He was nearly unique in that regard. The diplomatic and military establishment is full of experts who view Iranian nuclear weapons purely as factors in the balance of power and utterly refuse to look at them from any other angle. To them, Israel isn't really concerned about a nuclear attack, it's only playing a regional power game along with everyone else.

For Israel, violence is not a posture or a theory. It has few trading connections and no alliances in the region. Its foreign policy has always been about dissipating physical threats to its people, whether through diplomatic or military means. It does not follow this line because it is a saintly state, but because it is a state always on the edge. It has too little territory and too many enemies around it to follow any other path.

Surrounded by countries for whom destroying it is a matter of national pride and religious fervor, its only real deterrent is military. Winning several wars won it enough breathing room to try diplomatic solutions. And now the first and last of those diplomatic solutions has failed. It can still count on the military as a deterrent, but there is no deterrent against a nuclear attack carried out by terrorists under plausible deniability. The only remaining deterrent after a nuclear attack is killing as many of those responsible as possible before succumbing to radiation poisoning.

To the United States, Iranian nukes and an Israeli attack on them are equally unacceptable because they both disturb regional stability. The opponents of an attack insist on calling it a "War", not that a war is even structurally possible unless Iran decides to march an army through Iraq and Syria to get to Israel. They spread hysterical bulletins warning that an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear program could spark "another" recession.

Their message is that the cost of attacking Iran is less than the cost of allowing it to go nuclear. That may be true for the United States, which did not suffer too much from accepting that the Bolsheviks had taken over Russia, that Mao had taken over China and other once unacceptable phenomena that forced it the up its defense spending, but did not do any lasting damage. A nuclear weapon in the hands of people who believe that the world needs to be cleansed by fire for the arrival of the Mahdi and have dozens of terrorist front groups at their disposal may be a different story. Or it may not.

Washington D.C. did not get overrun by Communist forces. Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Tibet and a few hundred million other people who did not have oceans to protect them from the reasonable commissars in Moscow and Beijing, did. And that is why Israel's interests fundamentally diverge from those of the United States. Israel is not playing a grand game from across the ocean; it is trying to survive in a region that is as hostile to it, as Asia and Eastern Europe became to non-Communist countries.

That is why, no matter what speeches politicians deliver, the actual interests of the United States and Israel are only loosely aligned. The United States is trying to protect the tattered fabric of regional stability from Iran and Israel. Israel is trying to protect itself from Iran. The United States needs Israel to promote regional stability by going back to the table and negotiating with the terrorist front groups backed by Saudi Arabia and the Gulfies. Israel needs to protect itself while Obama is too busy telling senior citizens that Paul Ryan will cook them in a frying pan to pay attention to what it's doing.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has been cobbling together a national unity government, which in Israeli terms means that he is either running for sainthood or trying to get as much of the political system behind him in a critical time. It could all be a monumental bluff, a way to panic Obama into taking action out of fear that Israel will act instead. But that would make Netanyahu a very stupid man, and while he is not all that Americans think he is, neither is he likely to be playing such a silly game.

Everyone in the region understands the nature of the countdown. Most of the Sunni Gulfies also privately welcome Israel doing something about Iran's nuclear weapons, even as they redouble their efforts against the Jewish State to avoid allowing their Shiite enemies to benefit ideologically from a confrontation with the Zionist Entity. The rhetoric out of Iran now echoes the rhetoric out of Egypt in the 1960's. That buildup eventually ended in a preemptive Israeli strike that destroyed Egypt's air force.

But in Washington D.C., the countdown is not a real thing. The received wisdom among the press and the political and diplomatic establishments is that Netanyahu is an obstinate paranoid man who is playing games with them. They don't believe that Israel will do anything about Iran, because they wouldn't do anything about Iran and they assume that Netanyahu is just like them, only more deceptive because he pretends that he will do something about Iran.

The problem is that Israel really isn't playing a game. Its political establishment is as bad as that of any Western country. Its politicians are no better than their American or French counterparts, but its survival actually is on the line. Iran isn't playing a game. That's why Israel can't afford to play a game either.

It has become fashionable among Western elites to view aggression as either a posture or madness. They have forgotten that sometimes violence isn't a move on an international chessboard or a prelude to a set of political steps. Sometimes it's as simple as one side wanting to kill the other and the other side not wanting to be killed.

In the Middle East ideas that are considered aberrant insanity in the West are commonplace. Killing people is no great big thing. Most regimes do it from time to time to stay in power. Iran dispatched its Islamic militias to kill its own best and brightest in the streets of its capital. Virginity is believed to act as an instant pass to heaven for a woman, so teenage girls sentenced to death must first be forcibly married to their jailers and raped, before being hung.

The very idea that people think this way is incomprehensible in Washington D.C. But the simple question that Israel has to answer is, if this is what the Ayatollahs do to their own daughters, what would they do to those they consider the spawn of pigs and apes?

Israel already knows the answer to that. When Muslim mobs got their hands on Israeli Jews, before or after independence, they tore them to pieces and then sold snapshots of the remains. The policy of targeting all Jews, men, women and children, is not just something that terrorists do because they have no choice, it is the ideological position of Islamist leaders like Yusuf Al-Qaradawi in Egypt or Rashid Al-Ghannushi in Tunisia, and the policy of the Arab countries fighting Israel.

The liberal West has its illusions about the enemy. Israel has little room for those illusions. It will act when Washington is too busy fighting itself to focus on restraining it. It will act because it is alone as few other countries on earth are. It will act because it cannot afford to be Poland, Czechoslovakia or Tibet-- sacrificed in the great game of nations. It will act because it has no real choice but to act. It will act because for it this is not a set of talking points, a diplomatic program or a regional agenda, it is life or death. It will act, because for all its flaws, its survival is on the line.

That sense of a nation's survival and the life of a people hinging on a single course of action has become an alien one in an insulated world. It is not a thing that Washington D.C or Brussels can take seriously. It is not even a thing that all Israelis take seriously anymore. But those who hear the clock ticking know what is coming. They know the hard choices that will come in the months ahead. And they will make those choices as they made them before, because they will choose to survive.

Bee's Note:
I agree with Daniel Greenfield's assessment of the "state" Israel finds itself in and the reasons why she must act - "its survival is on the line".

As I read daily condemnations against Israel from the major "players" in this world - from the EU, UN and our own administration's messengers sent to Israel "to calm her down and prevent her from striking Iran", there is no doubt in my mind that the world is looking through rose-colored glasses while Israel must face the reality that the greatest enemy on earth is prepared to murder SIX MILLION Jews.

Does that number sound familiar?  After WWII and the deaths camps closed, the world laid no blame on anyone except the Jews for being murdered.  "Why didn't they fight back?  How could SIX MILLION Jews be led to the slaughter without fighting back?  Didn't they see what was coming down the road?"  That  type of thinking removed any guilt that appeasements and signed agreements with the madman of Germany promised before the world woke up one morning and realized you do not make deals with madmen.

Did the world learn anything from the most shameful, loathsome history of the twentieth century and probably, since time began?

Absolutely not - we learned nothing!  The very same propaganda spread by Hitler is the same being spread today.  Only instead of Hitler, the world faces the madman Ahmadinejad.

Hitler's Germany managed to spread its poisonous propaganda, making the Jews the scapegoats of all the world's problems throughout Europe and sadly, many citizens of Germany's neighbors aided the Nazis in rounding up the Jews, putting them on cattle cars, and waving goodbye, as those trains of death rolled on towards the final destination.

Today, Ahmadinejad has no plans for trains - in modern society, the plan is simply to send a nuclear missile towards Tel Aviv.  If we learned anything since WWII, we should have learned that when a madman speaks and threatens, promises to take care of that "Jew" problem once and for all, all of us should say, "Never Again!"

Instead, we hear world leaders saying the following:
If only Israel would give in to all the wishes of the Palestinian Arabs, split up their land, there would be "Peace".  Remember Gaza?  Is there peace in the ME?  Of course not, because it isn't the land the Muslims want and most of us understand the goals of Muslims is the complete eradication of the Jews from a tiny spot on the map called Israel."There is time for Diplomacy - give it a chance" and so, the leaders of our great civilization talk and talk some more, looking for some type of loophole that will enable everyone to appease another madman - Ahmadinejad.
How did that "diplomacy" work out with Hitler?  It will not work with Ahmadinejad's hellbent goals either, for both  men were and are evil personified!  You cannot appease of hold discussions with insanity - you lock such a person up in a padded room, as they are a danger to themselves and in this case, to the entire world.

One last thing:  I read the argument that if Israel strikes Iran, Iran has threatened to harm U.S. troops in the fields of Afghanistan, etc.  Really?  What has Iran been doing these past eleven plus years that is any different than the threats against the West she makes today?  Iran is responsible for antagonizing and arming terrorist organizations throughout the world!
These organizations have been killing our troops before and after September 11th and so, her threats today are nothing new.  The Taliban, Hamas, Hezibollah and all the other Muslim terrorists would have no "fuel to feed them" if the world cut off the head of Ahmadinejad's nuclear capabilities.

Israel says "never again" after being almost totally wiped out and to survive, she must act to keep that promise; she has no other option.  It has taken the past 70 years for Israel's citizens to have a present day census of SIX MILLION Jews - the exact number of peoples murdered during WWII.

Common decency and experience should have taught the world to come to the aid and support of tiny Israel and the Jewish people.  Instead, the world discusses "talks" and "clocks" - I believe many of our clocks need a Swiss watchmaker because we are all broken and need to be fixed.

that's it ........

'Forward.' The Perfect Campaign Slogan for Obama?

August 22, 2012

AMERICAN THINKER

Jim Yardley

"FORWARD." Is it the perfect slogan for the Obama campaign?  Of course it is!  The President wants voters to look forward, because if they all look backward, the first thing that they will see is how he exacerbated the 2007-2008 financial crisis.
They will see how he "bailed out" the auto industry at the expense of private citizens who had invested in bonds in those companies.
They will see how he shut down hundreds of auto dealerships who were shown to be donors to the Republican Party.
They will see how he rammed through the Affordable Care Act (or as it is more popularly known, Obamacare).
They will see the utter failure to provide any economic growth that was Obama's justification for his so-called "stimulus" that added almost a trillion dollars to the national debt.
They will see that unemployment has been over 8% for forty-plus months.
They will see the Solyndra fiasco.  They will also see the proliferation of regulations aimed at crippling historically reliable sources of energy such as natural gas, coal and petroleum.
In the midst of the worst post-war recession, with millions unemployed, they will hear the president announce that "the private sector is doing fine."
They will remember that Obama promised to cut the deficit in half, while giving us an annual deficit of more than a trillion dollars - for each year he has been in office.
They will see that more people are now receiving food stamps than at any time since that program was inaugurated.
They will see the 37 White House czars that are not accountable to the voters in any way.
By asking voters to only look forward, far forward, the Obama campaign hopes that they will only see sunshine, lollipops, rainbows and economic unicorns and ignore the fact that he has utterly no ideas on how to help entrepreneurs and small business feel confident in their future.  Right now these men and women who create most of the new jobs in this nation are unwilling to invest in growth strategies for their firms.
They will not invest in new equipment.
They will not hire more people.
They will not, therefore, help the economy recover.  Unlike the government, they understand the concept of "throwing good money after bad" and they will continue to sit on the sidelines.
So Obama asks you to look forward.  Look forward to a place and a time that doesn't actually exist.  It doesn't exist anywhere but in the mind of Obama.
Obama just loves the concept of FORWARD because it's a blank slate, an empty page that he can fill with fantasies. In other words, it is a reprise of the 2008 campaign. It consists of fantasies that never become reality because his leadership is non-existent.
In 2008 Obama ran on the slogan "Hope and Change", and he convinced a majority of voters that he could give them hope and change.  Sadly, he only gave them change, and took away their hopes.  Even worse, not everyone likes the change that Obama gave them.  A line from a play seems completely appropriate to describe it.
"You're hurt because everything's changed..."
Obama says he wants voters to look forward to a glorious future.  He'd better hope that those voters don't ask what play that line came from.
It was from John Osborne's play Look Back in Anger.

WHITE HOUSE INSIDER ISSUES WARNING – FALSE FLAG PLANNED FOR GOP CONVENTION?

by  on August 21, 2012 with 114 Comments in News
ULSTERMAN REPORT

Just received following message from Insider and, as requested, passing it on to all of you:

That Biden visit to Tampa got my wheels spinning.  What the hell are they up to?  How far is Biden willing to go to remain relevant?  To stay on the ticket?  So I put some feelers out to the WH.  Got lots of people willing to talk and share these days.
Here’s the deal.  Nobody has heard anything on that visit beyond it’s being planned.  SS had protocols in place only as recently as 72 hours ago.  So this thing wasn’t planned more than a week ago.  At the most.  That means the campaign is being damn tight lipped about it which is out of the ordinary for them.  Now that has me really thinking.  Something don’t sit right here.  Why send the #2 right down to the GOP convention?  What is the purpose?  Leak the trip, but don’t say anything substantial regarding the reason for the trip.  Just a publicity stunt?  An attempt at poking the eye of the Romney team?

That don’t add up for.  Not even close.  So I’m asking around some more. And I’m not the only one.  Nothing is coming back. Finally get a call into the Old Man.  Alert him to my concerns.  Within 30 minutes he gets back to me.  We got legit Intel from military source.  Nothing concrete.  Which got our source’s attention.  That is a big red alert.  This thing is being planned.  Staged.  Might be a handful of local law enforcement in on it.  Apparently a related communication from DHS within the last 24 hrs.   Union thugs.  Got to be a Jarrett Gerard initiated plan.  Something along those lines.
I’m giving you and your readers a heads up here.  False flag.  The real deal.  They will try and control it but make it look uncontrolled.  Dangerous.  Make it reflect poorly on the Republicans and their supporters.  A dangerous and desperate operation here.  Even a dimwit like Biden has to know how dangerous.
So have everyone you can reach, all your readers, let them know.  Obama operatives are attempting a set up here.  Dimes to dollars that’s what is going down.
Will update if more becomes available.  The Old Man is on it now.  Pushing heavy influence to deflect.  One or two secure media sources made aware.  The Romney people will be alerted, though they might have already been thinking along the same lines.  Trying to confirm that now.  If this thing is legit, we are going to try and shut it down within the next 48-72 hrs.  Won’t say more on that.
If they do go operational on this next week,  you and your readers will know what it is and what it isn’t.  Hoping it don’t get that far, but these maniacs are getting so desperate now they are trying to pull it off.
As promised, keeping you informed in a more timely manner.  I owe you that.
Things moving very fast now kid.  Hang on.  This is gonna be the most terrifying, most interesting, and potentially gratifying time of your life.
Or, it all goes to shit????  We lose.  They win.
Welcome to my world.

-WHI

My understanding of this warning from Insider points to the true intent of the visit to Tampa during the GOP Convention by Vice President Biden.  There will be a staged protest or something of that nature, intended to make Republicans look bad, and though not mentioned here by Insider, create sympathy for Joe Biden who has received a slew of bad press in recent weeks that is doing harm to the Obama campaign.
The protest is to be initiated by Obama operatives and/or forces sympathetic to the Obama campaign.  Insider is suggesting those forces believe they can control the environment to ensure the safety of those involved – while at the same time getting the intended media coverage images that will then be used to paint Republicans and conservatives as dangerous radicals.
If I learn from Insider my own interpretation is incorrect I will update accordingly.

UPDATE FROM INSIDER:  (late Tuesday, August 21, 2012)

Here is what I know to this point.  At least what I am comfortable sharing with you:

-Biden scheduled for event Monday prior to official opening of the GOP convention.

-There is to be some form of altercation, protest, outbreak, etc.  Not sure on specifics.  Purpose is to make VP look sympathetic but more important, give media portrayal of “radical” conservatives a timely visual upon which to build that right through to Election Day.
-Source relayed they confirmed whispers of this locally by some media in Tampa later this afternoon.  Biden’s arrival in Tampa already deemed “provocative” which will ensure significant media coverage.  The event/false flag will be used to overshadow the Monday convention ceremonies, as well as cast a shadow on convention for remainder of the week.
-Military source indicated this plan did NOT come from Chicago.  Axelrod is indicating surprise and uncertainty.  He has either become a much better actor or he had very little if anything to do with this.  Not that he isn’t capable.  Guy is an assh-le.  That means it is WH specific.  That means Jarrett, as I indicated earlier.  Where is Gerard?
-What the Obama team is doing here is incredibly dangerous.  Country is at brink already. Just beneath the surface.  This kind of thing, if not totally controlled, could break out into an even more significant event.  Perhaps they want that outcome?????
-Tie this in with earlier reports regarding the ammunition purchases.  Originally I ignored your questions on that.  Last week it received my full attention.  It’s the real deal.  I am gonna add that you don’t do target practice with hollow point.  Those are designed for one thing and one thing only.  Let that sink in.  Why is the Obama government buying up this kind of ammo in such massive amounts?  Place those ammo purchases with their willingness to stage a confrontation such as what they intend this Monday.
-You are right when pointing to the fact this was leaked by SS.  Rest assured they probably gave the Romney details a heads up well before any of us did.  They will continue to do their job as they always do, but there is no love loss between that organization and the administration.  The backstory on that may come out after Obama has left office.
-Military source warned this could be a well played head fake to try and expose leakers.  In my rush to get this to you I had not considered that. Rookie mistake.  I should have known better.  I’m still capable of losing my own ass in the dark.
That’s my attempt at humor, but this sh-t is absolutely serious.
As to your last question.  My recommendation is you stay away.  At this point none of us know how this thing is going to break.  Hopefully now that the word is out they will back off it.  But who knows.  So sit this one out.

I would ask all those planning to attend the GOP Convention next week to please make certain you conduct yourself with dignity and care at ALL TIMES.     Do no allow yourself to be manipulated into becoming part of something manufactured by forces favorable to the Obama campaign.
May everyone who attends return home safely – including those we might disagree with politically.

Obama FOX NEWS scathing 'attack' video REMOVED FROM FOXNEWS.COM - management!

Published on Jun 1, 2012 by
UPPER management didnt like this. I wonder why? It was QUICKLY taken down. From what I understand, they didnt pass it by the higher ups before playing this on the main news segment.

Radical Islam Joins the DNC

Starting at the end of this month the Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam.  20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political.  ”Jumah at the DNC” begins August 29 and will start with a Friday afternoon jummah prayer followed by other unnamed programs and events, leading up to the Islamic Regal Banquet. The following day will be an all day Islamic Cultural and Fun Fest which will include discussions on the topics of Islamaphobia, Anti-Shariah, Middle Eastern Crisis, Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act and more.  The purpose, according to BIMA, is to attract national and international attention to the plight of American Muslims and to hold political parties accountable for issues that affect them.  However, not all Muslims feel that BIMA represents them and M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has expressed serious concerns.
It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the “Jummah at the DNC”. The leaders of this event – Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj as advertised are no moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.
A quick Google search by the DNC would have shown them that Hough and Wahhaj are leaders in the separatist American Islamist movement. While they may be able to get a few thousand Muslims to attend the event, they are NOT going to be mainstream Muslims.  Most will likely come from Hough and Wahhaj’s radical networks that have long been entrenched in the Charlotte area. Make no mistake they are part of the Islamist movement.
This is not about their right of assembly; this group under a different name pulled the same stunt at the US capitol in 2009 claiming 20k and getting 2-3k. THIS IS ABOUT the DNC calling this an “official function” listing these radicals as typical of the DNC community and more importantly about this organization speaking out AS representing supposedly typical American Muslims (or “Mainstream”).
If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned. There are many patriotic Muslims who are part of both parties, and when radical ideologues like this do a demonstration of “solidarity” in the name of our faith and choose an imam like Siraj Wahhajwho I saw with my own eyes in 1995 seditiously say it his duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the US Constitution with the Quran- then we need to speak up!
Their jummah (group) prayer is supposedly against the Patriot Act, the NYPD, and Islamophobia and is actually NOT about our democracy but about empowering their Islamist and MB (Muslim Brotherhood) sympathetic groups into the very fabric of the political system so that Americans become anesthetized. We need American Muslims to speak up and marginalize these radicals. The DNC needs to understand and reject them because of their radical history and ideas.
They use our American Muslim identity to speak as “one community” as a political unit or as a “bloc vote” – a political Islamist party when in fact most us Muslims don’t want that political unity and seek reform against their ideology that seeks to hijack our community. They do not represent us. (emphasis mine)
In fact, Zuhdi Jasser is correct, Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj have said and done radical things in their past.  Which means either the Democrats failed to utilize due diligence or they simply didn’t care.  In addition to the Muslims being misrepresented, Democrats and Charlotteans also have a right to know how the DNC has failed them before they even arrive in Charlotte.
Jibril Hough may be a name many in Charlotte are familiar with already.   He is the leader of a Sunni mosque, The Islamic Center of Charlotte, who is been known for being outspokenagainst Representative Sue Myrick – a North Carolina Republican member of the House Intelligence Committee.  Beyond calling her plan to fight against jihadist activity in America “a fear campaign” and the “new McCarthyism (or Myrickism)”, he confronted her in a Muslim Town Hall he organized in 2010.  According to Jasser, the language used by Hough as his Town Hall was strikingly similar to that of the Muslim Brotherhood when he stated, “As citizens of a non-Muslim country and as American Muslims, we have a contract with America and not a contract on America. This means that we must abide by the laws of this state and we cannot be at war with this state.”  As Jasser points out, “note the deep seeded separatism in this ‘we’ mindset. Basically he is saying that this system of laws is not his or the Muslims he represents but they will follow it-for now.”  Further, Hough commented on his support of laws that would mandate “Muslim” behaviors for American-Muslims, but wouldn’t affect nonMuslims; again Jasser notes Hough’s separatist tone that mimics political Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood mindset, which supports “separate legal paths for each faith” instead of “one law based in reason”.  Jibril has also stated he is the North Carolina head of the Islamic Political Party of America(IPPA), based in Charlotte, who in a 2002 press release claimed the Jews were behind 9/11.  As if that weren’t enough, IPPA is close to another organization known as Jamaat Al Muslimeen (JAM), The Islamic Peoples Movement, who (in addition to being Holocaust deniers) had this advice for President Obama:
He should ensure that those Muslims he talks to do represent authentic Islam. All Islamic movements oppose America’s policies. If Obama talks to Muslims who support America’s policies, it will be an exercise in futility.
In response to Hough accusing Rep. Myrick of being anti-Muslim, he was interviewed on the formerly conservative radio station WBT in Charlotte.  Radio host Keith Larson questioned him as to why his mosque was owned by The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), an organization blacklisted by the U.S. Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history.  According to the government, NAIT is also a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood in America.  Hough, when presented by Larson with the documents, claimed he didn’t realize his mosque was owned by NAIT and was also unaware that they had been blacklisted.  Hough went on in the interview to defend HAMAS and accuse the U.S. and Israel of the only “real” terrorism.
Imam Siraj Wahhaj is imam of a mosque in Brooklyn, New York, the leader of The Muslim Alliance in North America, a member of CAIR, and an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. As a character witness for Omar Abdel Rahman (the Blind Sheik) who was convicted of plotting to blow up the World Trade Center and other New York City landmarks, Wahhaj described him as a “respected scholar,” and “bold, as a strong preacher of Islam.”  Wahhaj is also a Board of Trustee member of theNorth American Imams Federation (NAIF)(who’s website currently features an anti-Jewish, anti-black rant), a Muslim Brotherhood front organization, who (coincidentally) held aconference in Charlotte last year on Islamophobia.  Like Hough, Wahhaj is also connected to NAIT by way of his membership in the Islamic Society of North America(ISNA), which was also found by the government to be a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood.  While Hough has been careful to play politics in Charlotte, Wahhaj has not hidden his hatred for America.  He is quoted as calling America, “a garbage can… filthy, filthy and sick.”  As an imam, he has stated, “Where ever you came from, you came to America. And you came for one reason – for one reason only- to establish Allah’s deen (a complete way of life).”  He believes that the only reason to get involved in politics is to use it as a weapon in the cause of Islam.  By his own admission, the question of why Wahhaj would be interested in hosting events at the DNC is obvious.
How BIMA gained access to the DNC is more of a mystery.  Muhammad Heshaam Jaaber, the Executive Director, Jibril Hough, spokesman, and Captain James Yusuf Yee, BIMA National Representative for the DNC are the only publicly identified members and each one appears to be connected to U.S. Representative Keith Ellison; the first Muslim ever to be elected to Congress and a former supporter of Louis Farrakhan.  Ellison, who attended President Obama’s Iftar Dinner earlier this month, made thenews last month when Representative Michelle Bachmann called for him (among others) to be investigated for ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.  Whether or not he has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Ellison is not far from them having associates within BIMA.  Jasser points out that Hough sought advice from Ellison before proceeding with his Town Hall with Rep. Myrick.  Captain Yee (who will be speaking at the event) appears in BIMA’s promotional video for Jumah at the DNC quoting Ellison as saying, “If you’re not at the table, then you’re on the menu.”  Yee is described by BIMA as “a chaplain in the U.S. Military” and an “eye witness to to the unjust treatment of military detainees and prisoners of Guantanamo Bay” who was allegedly detained “when he took steps to prevent the injustice.”  However, BIMA fails to mention that Yee was charged by the military with sedition, aiding the enemy, spying, espionage and failure to obey a general order; charges ultimately dropped due to national security concerns about releasing evidence in the case.  Also speaking will be Hassen Abdellah, who BIMA has no problem admitting was “a lead defense attorney for the 1993 First World Trade bombing suspects”  Ellison has also appeared alongside Wahhaj on many speaking engagements for organizations such as ISNA and NAIF, despite both organizations being fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood.  If Ellison is the link between BIMA and the DNC, then can it be said that, not only does he not mind the questionable associations of those within the organization, but also the other speakers they will be bringing in?
BIMA has stated they have smaller events planned for the Republican National Convention, however when reached out to, GOP convention staff said they have no knowledge of any events planned in or around Tampa at the time.  With the Democratic National Convention only a couple weeks away, it will be interesting to see if the media chooses to cover what one would assume to be a controversial start to renominate President Barack Obama.
